Mark and his colleagues offer a unique and highly effective support service for young people in our community. They have worked extensively over a number of years with students from the school and their wider families to support them to be successful.

They are particularly good at quickly building trust and appropriate, supportive relationships with students who are going through challenges. Their approach is varied and adapted to the individual’s needs and is based on a core principle of respect for everyone.  They work closely with school staff to tailor their approach and feedback regularly so that school and mentor can work together to address needs and put the best possible support plan in place.

Feedback on the intervention from teachers/students/parents has always been positive and they have adapted their approach quickly when required.  Progress can be seen in student work in school and their successful reintegration into lessons.
 

Mark and his team provide a professional, reliable service working in partnership with school staff. They are able to respond quickly to an urgent need and have such a flexible approach to supporting young people that we have used them now with a number of our partner schools.
